Who We Are
Gardens for Everyone (G4E) helps people grow their own veggies at home by building raised-bed garden boxes in backyards and supporting box recipients as they begin growing food. Priority is given to low to moderate income households, as well as organizations that want to grow food for their community. For more information, click here.
What We Do
If you are willing to work hard and get a little dirty along the way, we encourage you to volunteer! Do not worry about being an expert in building, you will learn everything you need to know by working with staff and experienced volunteers. Volunteers should be comfortable using the tools and lumber needed to make a raised garden bed and must be willing to meet staff at a recipient’s home.
To make the program accessible to all, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle has a pay-what-you-can policy with a minimum contribution from individuals and families receiving boxes. This means that as a volunteer you MIGHT assist with a build for someone who is able to pay which means that you are supporting an effort that extends the reach of the program to someone who cannot pay.
Volunteers must be 16 or older to volunteer with a required ratio of 1 adult to 4 youth.
