FOOD SERVICE & CULINARY PREP

Food Service Volunteers

Join our culinary team at the Raleigh Warehouse for a few hours to help prepare meals for distribution. No cooking or kitchen experience is required.

  • 8 - 10 AM, every weekday: Sign Up Here
  • 10 AM - 12 PM, every weekday: Sign Up Here
  • NEW! 12 - 2 PM, Monday through Thursday: Sign Up Here
    • From June to August, we will offer an afternoon Food Service shift in conjunction with Summer Meals. We are excited to have these shifts increase our organization's ability to serve out its mission. Plus, it opens up a fantastic volunteer opportunity in the afternoons!

Front Desk Volunteers

The Malone Center is seeking a volunteer interested in assisting us with phone calls and visitors on Friday afternoons. To learn more, please reach out to Emily at emily@foodshuttle.org. This is a great opportunity to understand more about how the Food Shuttle operates!

FOOD RECOVERY AND DISTRIBUTION

Warehouse House Helpers NEEDED at our Durham Warehouse

In need of a summer service project? Our Durham team is looking for individuals to help organize the warehouse to ensure it is in good condition for our operations. Please review our current shifts here! We also need helpers to sort food donations and inventory! Check out these shifts here!

Driver's Assistant (Raleigh Warehouse)

Experience a day in the life of our drivers by tagging along on their routes! Volunteer opportunities are available four days a week, providing a meaningful way to get involved. Our opportunities are categorized by the day of the week the shift is held. Click on the day to learn more and to sign up!

Our outdoor programs are back with weekly volunteer shifts. Check out our Farm and 3x community learning gardens below for availability! 

Farm: We need all volunteers on deck to help us prepare the farm for a successful spring harvest!

Camden St Learning Garden: Volunteer shifts are on TUESDAYS and Fridays! And please consider supporting our garden with our sustainable initiatives by signing up for our compost volunteer shifts: Compost Fridays!

Geer St Learning Garden: Volunteer shifts are on MONDAYS and Thursdays!
