Geer Street Learning Garden will be hosting a Compost Giveaway community event on Saturday, May 10th. We are looking for volunteers to assist us with this event from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Volunteer activities may include moving tables and chairs, bagging, loading, and carrying compost, greeting attendees, and more. All instructions will be given at the beginning of the shift. No garden experience necessary. Volunteers should be comfortable shoveling and carrying materials up to 40 lbs. in weight. Please dress appropriately for the outdoors and wear closed toe shoes.
The event will be held outdoors at Geer Street Learning Garden, 110 E. Geer St., Durham, NC.
