We are excited to have Summer Meals back in session! We are looking for drivers to deliver both hot and cold lunches to children and teens in Wake Couty. Volunteers will start their shift at our Raleigh Warehouse to pick up all the food, site information, and paperwork. After completing the entire route, volunteers should return to the Raleigh Warehouse to drop off equipment (i.e. Cambros and milk crates) and signed paperwork.
Starting and Ending Location: Raleigh Warehouse (1001 Blair Drive, Raleigh NC 27603)
TASKS
- We ask volunteers to deliver meals safely, promptly, and at the appropriate temperature to the site(s). We ask that you drive your own vehicle. Paperwork needs to be signed and returned along with the Cambro to the Malone Kitchen after all deliveries are completed.
- If you have gone through our DMV Background Check, please be sure to let us know and we can try to reserve a staff vehicle for your shift. Please let us know at least 1 week ahead of your shift.
- *If you are interested in regularly helping this summer with this program, please reach out and we can look to have you certified to drive a staff vehicle following an approved background check.
- This is a great opportunity for youth volunteers as long as your little ones can help move the containers! Please send a message to Volunteers@FoodShuttle.org to get them registered.
