Join us on October 11th for the Food Shuttle's annual Festival at the Farm! We are excited to host this celebration once again and need volunteers to help us make this event a success. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in the following areas before and during the event:
- Assisting with the general set-up and floating
- Directing visitor parking
- Supporting the different booths and stations (i.e. check-in booth, bingo, pumpkin painting, etc.)
Please meet and park at Dillard Magnet Middle School, 5200 Dillard Dr, Raleigh, NC 27606
- Parking: Please park and check in at the middle school parking lot! A Food Shuttle staff member will be there to greet Fest volunteers and shuttle you to the Farm located right down the street! Volunteers will be able to use the shuttle service to return to the parking lot at the end of their shift.
VOLUNTEERING CONDITIONS
- For this shift, we require volunteers to wear closed toe/heel shoes, and a light rain jacket is encouraged.
- Please do not forget to bring a water bottle.
- Allergies: Please bring any allergy medications (i.e., bees, plants, etc.). There are active bee colonies on the property’s periphery, and we ask volunteers to bring any appropriate allergy medications.
- Weather: The shift will continue on with light rain.
