Farm Afternoon (APR TUE)

Expired

Description

Volunteers will begin this shift by hand watering our Spring crop. Additional tasks will include bending and some heavy lifting – these tasks will include raking, spreading fertilizer, laying landscape fabric, laying drip tape for irrigation, hand weeding and transplanting. Farm tasks are subject to change daily based on needs. Safety is our top priority at the Farm, so please comply with the following: 1) Volunteers with allergies should bring necessary medicine with them 2) Dress appropriately for farm work in closed toe shoes (boots, sneakers) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty 3) Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Thank you for signing up to volunteer at the Food Shuttle Farm! We are excited to see you on the Farm soon!

  • Please Read our Farm Policies and Procedures especially if you are a first-time volunteer, have questions about what to bring, or if you have questions about youth.

Please contact Marc if you have any questions about volunteering. If you have to cancel please, do so ASAP.

Remember Depending on time of season the farm offers fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs for sale.
