2022 WRAL Nights of Lights Holiday Outpost

Expired

Description

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is delighted to CONTINUE our partnership with Food Lion Feeds and WRAL's Nights of Lights, by having our food truck, The Spinning Plate, at the NEW Holiday Outpost!

Volunteers will assist The Spinning Plate staff with distributing prepackaged foods and beverages at the Holiday Outpost.

Volunteers must be mobile enough to move quickly and safely among guests.  You will be on your feet a lot!

While we would love to say "the more the merrier" feedback from 2021 was that we had too many volunteers.  Therefore we ask that you respect our volunteer capacity.

For your comfort, we'll have some snacks, hot drinks, water, and access to port-o-johns. And as a perk you'll be able to drive through the light show at the end of the night!  Please dress in layers and for the weather!  Optional: bring a chair and travel mug.

PLEASE ARRIVE BY 5:15 PM AT THE DOROTHEA DIX PARK, ALL FAITHS CHAPEL, 1030 Richardson Drive, off of Umstead Drive.  You should then report to The Spinning Plate food truck.  (Do NOT report to the Food Shuttle office/warehouse.)  You will be sent a map closer to date, indicating where to meet.

THERE IS ONE SHIFT FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT.  IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO ARRIVE LATE OR LEAVE EARLY DUE TO SAFETY AND TRAFFIC FLOW.

*Be sure to wear closed toe/heel shoes.
