Expired

Description

The Geer Street Learning Garden will be hosting a Seed Starting Workshop on Thursday, 2/23 at North Carolina Central University and is looking for volunteers to support the class. The volunteer shift will run from 9:45am-12pm to accommodate setup and breakdown of the class. Volunteer activities may include moving tables and chairs, handling paperwork, greeting and directing class participants, moving and dispersing class materials, and more. All class facilitation will be done by the instructor. No garden experience is necessary. The workshop will be held in an indoor classroom at North Carolina Central University.

The class instructor will reach out to registered volunteers prior to the class to provide meeting location and parking information.

This is a great way to support the Durham community and learn more about gardening! Please contact the Geer Community Garden Coordinator, Mikey, at mikey@foodshuttle.org with any questions. Thank you for your interest!
