In this volunteer opportunity you will deliver meals to local camps and programs. Meals will be either breakfast or lunch depending on the shift that you sign up for.
- We do ask that you drive your own vehicle.
- If you have volunteered with us already and you have gone through our DMV Background Check, please be sure to let us know and we should be able to try and have a staff vehicle available.
- ***If you are interested in regularly helping this summer with this program. *** Please reach out and we can look to get your background check certified so you could drive a staff vehicle as well.
Deliveries and Return on Kitchen Equipment
We do ask that volunteers to please be prepared to first deliver the meals and be able to ensure that the meals are kept safe int their container, at the appropriate temperature, and brought to the site in a timely manner.
Can You Bring a Family Member/Friend?
Yes, totally if you have space in your car that is fine. Please send a message to volunteers@foodshuttle.org and we will be able to get any additional helpers signed up. This is a great opportunity for kids to help with. As long as your little ones can help move the containers, we would be happy for you to bring them!!
