*Please note all deliveries are to be picked up at the Raleigh Warehouse (1001 Blair Drive, Raleigh NC 27603). You will then deliver to Fairmont United Methodist Church (2501 Clark Ave, Raleigh). Unless the Food Shuttle staff is updated, the volunteer will deliver the meals at the Main Sanctuary.
TASKS
- We ask volunteers to deliver meals safely, promptly, and at the appropriate temperature to the site. We do ask that you drive your own vehicle. Paperwork needs to be signed and returned to the Malone Kitchen following the delivery.
- If you have gone through our DMV Background Check, please be sure to let us know and we can try to reserve a staff vehicle for your shift. Please let us know at least 1 week ahead of your shift.
- *If you are interested in regularly helping this summer with this program, please reach out and we can look to have you certified to drive a staff vehicle following an approved background check.
- This is a great opportunity for youth volunteers as long as your little ones can help move the containers! Please send a message to Volunteers@FoodShuttle.org to get them registered.
CHECK-IN
- Parking Map and Guide
- Please drive to the kitchen loading dock at the Malone Center. DO NOT park in front of the dumpsters. Volunteers may park in any open parking spot near the loading dock. If you do not see anyone, please enter the kitchen with a hair covering and head to the back of the kitchen to meet our Food Shuttle staff.
- Everyone entering the kitchen must have a hair covering (i.e. hair net or hat). Hair nets will be provided outside the door.
