Thank you for your interest in our Child Feeding Initiatives. We are looking for individuals or small groups (6-10) to pack food boxes for children and families in our service counties.
Location: 2436 S. Miami Blvd. Ste.200-9, Durham, NC 27703
Where to Check-In?
Please arrive on time and enter through the main entrance. In the lobby, you will meet our warehouse staff for a brief orientation before heading back to the warehouse.
Dress Code/What to Bring?
You must wear CLOSED-TOE/HEEL SHOES. We recommend bringing gloves, and water, and please always feel free to bring a speaker for music!
Tasks
Expect light to medium lifting, unpacking/packing food, and categorizing food per program. Volunteers may form an assembly line to pack boxes with a variety of non-perishable food items to be distributed to families in need of food assistance. General shift tasks include:
- Packing Sweet Potatoes for Distribution
- Assembling School Pantry Boxes
- Assembling Other Specific Menu Boxes
Other duties may be assigned by our Warehouse Manager depending on the needs of the day.
Youth Policy
All volunteers must be 13 years old to volunteer. Minors 16 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult. If volunteering as a group, we ask for a 1:4 adult-to-youth ratio and all chaperones must sign up and work alongside their youth volunteers.
