Food Bank Learning Garden Opportunity

*This opportunity is NOT approved for Court Ordered/Lawyer Recommended Community Service.

*Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

No gardening experience is required to volunteer! Join us for a morning in the garden to jump start your day!

Volunteer Waiver

Location: 1924 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC, 27604

*Parking is Free  - please follow the signs for VOLUNTEER PARKING and meet at the garden's picnic tables.

Working Conditions

Dress Code: Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. We also recommend bringing a sun hat to combat the heat and sunrays!

Items to Bring: Please do not forget to bring a water bottle! Please bring your own gloves if possible.  We will supply all other necessary garden equipment.

Allergies: Please bring any allergy medications for ants, bees, plants, etc.

Tasks

Volunteers will assist with general garden tasks such as harvesting, planting, weeding, mulching, and watering. Less common, specific tasks may involve assembling or repairing raised beds, filling beds with soil. Garden tasks are subject to change daily based on needs but please come prepared to bend, kneel, and lift items to complete our daily tasks.
