Join our staff in packing and transporting Grocery Bags!
CHECK-IN
Please arrive on time and enter through the center entrance of the Vernon Malone Center. You will be greeted by a staff member or volunteer at the front desk for check-in and orientation. Once everyone is up to speed with the program and safety procedures, volunteers will head back to the warehouse!
TASKS: *PACK AND DROP OFF SHIFT*
Volunteers will meet first at the Malone Center to pack fresh produce and non-perishable food items into grocery bags. After packing, volunteers will be given instructions on how to DROP OFF the bags at the designated site. We ask volunteers to be prepared to transport the food using personal vehicles. Volunteers will meet the facility's on-site coordinator or manager to pass along the food.
- Packing will be held at Vernon Malone Center, 1001 Blair Drive. Raleigh, NC 27603.
DRESS CODE
You must wear CLOSED-TOE/HEEL SHOES.
YOUTH VOLUNTEERS
All volunteers must be 8 years old to volunteer. Minors 18 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult. If volunteering as a group, we ask for a 1:4 adult-to-youth ratio, and all chaperones must sign up and work alongside their youth volunteers.
