Thank you for volunteering with Grocery Bags for Seniors. Your volunteer group is scheduled to deliver 73 grocery bags to Preiss-Steele residents in Durham. Bag numbers are subject to change monthly based on site vacancies. Grocery bags contain fresh produce and shelf stable items that can provide up to 8 meals.
Delivery can take up to 2 hours (time varies based on the size of the volunteer group and number of bags).
Please plan to arrive at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Child Food hub, located at 2436 South Miami Blvd, suite 200-9, Durham, NC 27703, no later than 10:00am (Early arrival is recommended). Enter through the front doors to begin the sign in process. The volunteer group leader must sign in each group member.
Here are a few important reminders:
- All volunteers must be registered in order to participate in volunteer activity – Please see your group leader for additional information.
- Volunteers must be 8 years of age to enter the warehouse. Those under the age of 8 will not be allowed to assist with packing but can help with the bag delivery
- Closed toes shoes must be worn (NO EXCEPTIONS).
