Volunteers will assist with harvesting, maintenance of fencing and farm equipment, greenhouse work and prepping high tunnels for spring crops. Tasks will require bending, kneeling and some heavy lifting. Farm tasks are subject to change daily based on needs.
Safety is our top priority at the Farm, so please comply with the following: 1) Volunteers with allergies should bring necessary medicine with them 2) Dress appropriately for farm work in closed toe shoes (boots, sneakers) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty 3) Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Thank you for signing up to volunteer at the Food Shuttle Farm! We are excited to see you on the Farm soon!
- The farm’s age policy is a minimum of 13 years old. The farm strives for a 1 adult/5 ratio to supervise youth as they will be working in areas of the farm that need great attention to detail to ensure the safety of the farm’s crops and our volunteers.
