
Join us for a morning packing session through our newest hunger relief program - F.A.E.R.S (Food Access and Education for Rural Seniors). Volunteers will help prepare meal bags filled with either fresh produce or nonperishables for seniors living with Type 2 Diabetes in both Chatham and Johnston counties.
Volunteer Instructions:
- All volunteers must enter the front entrance to be checked in, temperature screened, and receive safety orientation and activity instructions.
- Closed-toed and heel shoes must be worn. We encourage you to wear comfortable clothes and layers for the cooler months.
- Must review and sign the Food Shuttle safety protocol and waiver.
Things to Know:
- To ensure accurate volunteer capacity and to provide proper social distance among volunteers, all volunteer must be registered prior to volunteer date (s).
- All volunteers must be 8 and older (under 16 must be accompanied by an over 18+ adult), To add children to your team registration, enter their first and last name then add their an email address using their lastname@example.com.
- COVID-19 Response: all volunteers are required to partake in a temperature check by Food Shuttle staff. In addition, all volunteers must sanitize their hands before putting on gloved and face masks. To learn more about our COVID-19 response, please click HERE.
