Food Access and Education for Rural Seniors (F.A.E.R.S.) is a pilot program at the Food Shuttle geared to provide nutritious food and education to African American and Hispanic seniors living with type 2 diabetes in Johnston and Chatham counties.
- June 15, 2021 from 9 AM to 1 PM - Johnston County
- June 16, 2021 from 9 AM to 1 PM – Chatham County
- June 30, 2021 from 9 AM to 1 PM - Johnston County
We're looking for a individual volunteer with a fitness background to come help lead a series of senior group exercises during our June distribution dates. Volunteer (s ) will arrive at our main location - 1001 Blair Drive. Raleigh, NC 27603 and carpool with Food Shuttle staff to designated sites in Chatham or Johnston county (you have option to drive using your personal vehicle to designated site). * If you reside in Chatham or Johnston county, you can opt to meet at the distribution location.
